ground floor

digital output: autocad 2007/ photoshop

vehicular entry to the home is from the south and under the canopy, which leads to the entry to the main space of the home. the canopy also provides shelter to connors bedroom pod (south/west) and guest bedroom pod (south/ east) and the night fire grotto which is between the main home space and the bedroom pods.

connor, 15, has been provided with a bedroom pod which is separate from the main home space to reflect his transition from child to young adult and beyond. here, he has lounge/'chill' space with access to exterior deck to the west and ensuite provisions.

the guest bedroom pod offers sleeping space and ensuite provisions on this level. similarly, separate from the main home space...as we can appreciate, staying with friends or relatives is fun but a little extra private space can make the stay more enjoyable!

main entry gives direct acces to the library/lounge/ family area. glazing to east and west and exterior decking to west. stair access to dining/kitchen space is located in this space.

to the north/east is the bedroom pod for andrew and jennifer. the pod has a slight rotation west from the lounge/library/family space so as to deny direct visual access from this area into the bedroom. sleeping and ensuite provisions on this level with major visual access to east.

to the north/west is andrews den where andrew can have moments of recluse to work on any concepts for the following year. major visual access to west and supplementary access to north.
